How and when you’ll get your results
Results Day falls in mid-August, when A-level and BTEC results are released. You’ll usually collect your grades from your school or college in the morning, and soon after, you’ll be able to log into UCAS Track to see if your university place has been confirmed.
UCAS Track status updates
Once you log in to UCAS, you’ll see one of the following:
- Unconditional – you’ve secured your place at your firm or insurance choice.
- Conditional – the university is still waiting for something, like results confirmation.
- Unsuccessful – you haven’t met the conditions of your offer. You may now be eligible for Clearing.
If your status is unclear or pending, don’t panic. Universities are reviewing lots of applications, so in some cases, it’s just a matter of waiting a little longer.
When to contact universities (and when to wait)
Only contact a university if your UCAS status hasn’t updated by the afternoon, or if you need urgent clarification on what to do next.
